The Ministry of Health and the autonomous communities, in the Public Health Commission, have reported this Thursday about the approval “in the coming days” of a common action guide of the National Health System (SNS) regarding the arrival of Ukrainian refugees to provide “homogeneous treatment” throughout the country
The Public Health Commission, with representation of the Ministry of Health and the autonomous communities, announced this Thursday the approval “in the coming days” of a joint action guide for the National Health System (SNS) regarding the arrival of refugees coming from Ukraine .
The Minister of Health, Carolina Darias, had already anticipated before the commission meeting the idea of the “coordinated protocol” to provide “homogeneous Special Data treatment throughout the national territory” to the refugees from Ukraine who will have at their disposal, almost immediately, protection and health card.

Darias has explained that the objective is that everyone who arrives in Spain can access the vaccine against coronavirus and other ailments, with an “accelerated schedule” of vaccination . In this way, Ukrainian refugees will be able to access vaccines, not only for Covid-19, but also for other diseases “that may be prevalent in that country” , such as polio.
The commission approved, also this Thursday, the checklist for the analysis of equity in Health Strategies, Programs and Activities (EPAs) , an update of the model for evaluating equity and social determinants of health in public policies in this matter.
On the other hand, both Health and the autonomous communities have made progress in the Surveillance and Control Strategy against the coronavirus that will be approved in the coming days as well as the common guide for care of Ukrainian refugees.
